đ 60-SECOND CHECKLIST BEFORE TRADING ON BINANCE P2P
I used to think P2P safety was simply about choosing a trader with a high number of completed orders. In reality, what matters more is following the right verification process before clicking âI Have Paidâ or âRelease Crypto.â
Hereâs the checklist I use before every P2P trade:
â 1. Check the advertisement
Review the price, trading limits, payment method, and merchantâs terms before placing an order. Donât choose an offer just because it has the best price.
â 2. Check the counterparty
Look at the traderâs completed orders, completion rate, and trading history. A clear and established trading record makes it easier to assess the counterparty.
â 3. Never trade outside Binance
If someone asks you to move the transaction to Telegram, Zalo, WhatsApp, or another platform, stop the transaction. Keeping communication and payment within the Binance P2P process helps preserve the platformâs protection and dispute-resolution mechanisms.
â 4. SELLER: NEVER release crypto based only on a screenshot
This is one of the most important rules.
If the buyer sends a payment receipt, SMS, or screenshot claiming that the money has been transferred, open your banking app and verify the actual balance and transaction history yourself.
The money must actually arrive in your account before you release the crypto.
Binance Academy specifically warns about fake payment confirmations and recommends verifying that funds have actually been received rather than relying only on screenshots or SMS messages.
Before every P2P order, remember these 4 questions:
đ Am I dealing with the right person?
đł Am I paying the correct account?
đ° Has the money actually arrived?
đĄď¸ Am I completing the transaction entirely through Binance?
