BNB Becomes Largest Holding in Grayscale Smart Contract Fund

Grayscale completed its Q2 2026 rebalance and added BNB to the Smart Contract Fund at a 30.6% weighting — making it the single largest position, ahead of Ethereum (29.47%) and Solana (29.15%).

This is the first time BNB has entered the fund. The allocation follows the CoinDesk Smart Contract Platform Select Capped Index methodology, meaning the shift reflects relative market positioning rather than pure discretionary selection.

The move carries institutional weight. Grayscale’s products are closely watched by traditional allocators, and placing BNB at the top of a smart-contract platform basket signals growing recognition of BNB Chain’s scale, developer activity, and real-world asset traction.

Supporting data continues to strengthen the case. BNB Chain has built meaningful RWA volume and remains one of the most active venues for stablecoin settlement and tokenized equity trading. Utility metrics of this kind tend to matter more to long-term institutional portfolios than short-term price action.

Of course, fund weightings can change at the next quarterly review, and past index inclusion does not guarantee future performance. Always verify the latest holdings and risk disclosures directly from Grayscale.
