Some lessons come when you least expect them

Last Sunday I was cleaning my room when a particular notebook caught my eye. Stacked under various books, it didn't seem much different from the others except for a phrase written right below half-finished thoughts, scribbles, and schemes:

"Protect what matters before chasing what shines."

While I can't say with a straight face that I wrote this, I knew I couldn't let it go. The phrase stayed with me throughout the day.

It made me think about Bitcoin. More specifically, about how conversations around the space often focus on price, speculation, and macro trends, but rarely discuss the fundamentals. How rarely do we talk about security, about building reliable infrastructure? What if someone asked not about how to get rich but rather how to avoid becoming poor?

This prompted me to research further and discover the vision of the @BabylonLabs_io team with Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV). While I'm not going to get into much detail now, I found the concept inspiring and full of potential. Potential which, if realized, could genuinely secure BTC in a trustless manner—without sacrificing decentralization for the sake of security.

Sometimes it's the smallest innovations that have the biggest impact.

And that's why I'm going to keep an eye on and its development.
