Here's what happened when Ethereum walked back up to the $1,900 zone and made traders choose between patience and FOMO.

The tough part with $ETH is that breakouts often look obvious right before they trap late buyers. Miss the entry and you feel behind; chase resistance and one $BTC pullback can erase the setup.

Right now, Ethereum is up about 13% over the last 30 days and consolidating near $1,882. Analyst Ali Martinez points to a 1-hour rising channel with a possible target around $2,060, roughly 10% above current levels, but the whole case depends on one line holding: $1,850.

This setup feels similar to past ETH moves where the real signal wasn’t the first push into resistance, but whether buyers defended the higher low afterward. Compared with $BTC, Ethereum usually needs broader market confidence before it extends cleanly, and that $1,900 resistance is the gatekeeper here.

If $ETH holds $1,850, the July pattern of higher highs stays alive. Lose it, and the $2,060 target starts looking less like a breakout map and more like a failed momentum trade. What’s your take?
