Ripple’s (XRP) SVP of Asia-Pacific, Fiona Murray, said during a recent panel discussion that “Singapore processes over 50% of the payment flows of Ripple-powered digital asset (crypto) payments.” She added: “Singapore’s importance as a payments hub for RippleNet’s cross-border payment services is growing each day. The US can’t play the role of a hub due to regulatory uncertainty.” Ripple received a Digital Payment Token (DPT) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), which means that Ripple is allowed to operate and sell digital tokens within Singapore.
