Summary / Definition
As the network grows toward the vision of 1 billion human nodes, it becomes increasingly important to design for long-term participation. Users may pause, return, and re-engage over time.
Burning remains a strong mechanism for maintaining integrity, but as the network grows, it can create unintended friction for those who come back ready to contribute again.
Therefore, we propose: Recovery Burning Mechanism - a feature allowing users to recover previously burned $ITLG by coming back and remaining continuous mining streaks.
Crucially, this mechanism aligns with our deflationary strategy:
•Recovered tokens are restored at 99% of the originally burned amount, as 1% has already been permanently burned into the pool according to the previously approved DAO proposal: “Burning 1% of Returned $ITLG from the Total Supply Each Snapshot.”•Additionally, to honor true consistency, users who have never triggered the burn mechanism will be prioritized by our AI system during the ITL verification process.
This mechanism preserves the original burn logic while providing a fair and transparent opportunity for committed users to recover what was lost through renewed activity.
Motivation
This proposal is driven by two core objectives:
1. Preserve the Burn Mechanism while improving fairness and reasonabilityA permanent penalty without recovery can reduce user motivation over time. This proposal keeps the burn mechanism intact, while introducing a recovery path that is earned, proportional, and based solely on active contribution.2. Incentivize consistency and retentionInstead of penalizing users to the point of discouragement, we want to turn the recovery process into a positive goal. By linking recovery to mining streaks, we encourage daily engagement, strengthening the network's active user base while allowing miners to earn back what is rightfully theirs.
Mechanism
4 consecutive mining sessions generate 1 recovery ticket, capable of restoring the first burn level (1 cycle).Every additional 4 consecutive sessions allows the user to recover the next higher burn tier (e.g., 8 sessions for the 2-cycle tier, 12 sessions for the 4-cycle tier).

Referral restoration
With the Recovery Burning Mechanism, if a user fully recovers all $ITLG that was previously burned to 0, the system will also restore referral balances accordingly:
•Direct referrer recovers 500 $ITLG•Indirect referrer recovers 250 $ITLG
This ensures that referrals are treated fairly and that referrers are not permanently penalized when their referred users return and actively contribute again.
