DOJ Opens Victim Compensation for $4B OneCoin Fraud
The US Justice Department opened a compensation process for victims of the $4 billion OneCoin fraud, with more than $40 million in forfeited assets available for claims. The program covers people who bought OneCoin between 2014 and 2019 and recorded a net loss. The Justice Department estimates the scheme took more than $4 billion from about 3.5 million victims.
