With the number of new BTC issued to miners dropping from 6.25 to 3.125 per block, the Puell multiple has also decreased. 😰 On April 28, the multiple was a mere 0.73, way below its 365-day simple-moving-average of 1.43. CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju says miners now have two options: capitulation or waiting for a rise in BTC price. But there are no signs of capitulation yet. 😎 Despite the suppressed revenues, the halving day was a profitable one for miners, thanks to the launch of Runes, a new protocol standard for minting tokens on Bitcoin by Ordinals creator Casey Rordamor.
