Japan's SBI Holdings and Saudi Aramco, the state-owned oil company of Saudi Arabia, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore potential collaboration in digital asset investment and semiconductor production. The MoU includes the establishment of SBI Middle East in Riyadh as a base for regional operations. The partnership may involve co-investing in digital asset portfolios and identifying Japanese digital asset startups interested in expanding to Saudi Arabia. This move is part of SBI Holdings' ongoing efforts to establish a presence in the Middle East, following recent joint ventures in the United Arab Emirates.
