USDT/USDC y otras más son activos de naturaleza centralizada, es decir, son emitidos, acuñados, minteados, generados por empresas privadas, en estos casos por empresas Americanas sujetas a cumplimiento de leyes y normas americanas, tanto Tether como CIRCLE quienes son los emisores de estas monedas tienen la capacidad técnica de bloquear los activos a través de una solicitud de una autoridad gubernamental americana, y está capacidad técnica de bloquear esos activos tiene alcance global sin restricción, sin importar el exchange donde estén, incluso hasta en billeteras frías pueden congelar o bloquear los activos, en consecuencia este aspecto técnico es mucho más riesgoso que el uso mismo de cualquier exchange, si Tether o CIRCLE tienen orden de bloqueo de fondos o billeteras porque estás están asociadas a delitos señalados (lavado de dinero, financiamiento al terrorismo, países sancionados y otros) estén dónde esten simplemente pueden hacerlo.
