Cụ thể, SEC đã thông qua đề xuất ETF Ethereum spot của Grayscale và Bitwise giao dịch trên sàn chứng khoán NYSE; iShares (BlackRock) trên sàn Nasdaq; cùng VanEck, ARK/21 Shares, Invesco, Fidelity và Franklin Templeton trên sàn chứng khoán Cboe BZX.
Tuy nhiên, các nhà phân tích ETF của Bloomberg nhận định SEC mới chỉ phê duyệt các đề xuất ETF Ethereum dựa trên hồ sơ 19b-4. Theo đúng thủ tục thì các đơn vị phát hành ETF cần phải hoàn thiện hồ sơ S-1 và gửi lên ủy ban chứng khoán thì mới có thể xác định được thời điểm bắt đầu giao dịch chính thức.
