When I looked at the @TermMax token schedule, one thing stood out to me. The 1 billion #TMX maximum supply looks important, but it does not tell the full story.

The first number I would watch is the starting circulating supply. Around 200 million TMX is expected to be in circulation at the beginning. That means most of the total supply will still be locked or scheduled for future release.

This is where the unlock schedule becomes important.

Investor tokens can add around 11.67 million TMX each month after the cliff. When team and advisor unlocks are included, the monthly release could reach roughly 17.67 million TMX during the overlapping period. That does not mean the token will automatically face selling pressure. Scheduled unlocks are common in crypto projects.

The bigger question is demand.

If TermMax grows its users, protocol activity, revenue, staking participation, and governance use at a healthy rate, new tokens may be absorbed by the ecosystem. But if supply grows faster than real demand, the extra liquidity could create more pressure on the market.

The allocation size also gives useful context. The 150 million TMX team allocation is equal to 75% of the initial 200 million circulating supply. Team and investor allocations together reach about 430 million TMX. That is more than twice the expected day-one circulation.

So I would not judge TMX only by its 1 billion maximum supply. A fixed cap sounds attractive, but the timing of token releases matters just as much.

There is also a detail I would keep an eye on: differences between tokenomics disclosures. A 110 million TMX difference would equal 11% of the maximum supply. Even when changes come from updated documents, they are worth tracking.
For me, the key metric is free float.

I want to know how much TMX is available today, how quickly that amount can increase, and whether real demand can keep pace.

The headline supply is only the beginning. The real tokenomics story is what becomes available to the market over time.

At first glance, fixed-rate lending seems straightforward. You know the rate, you know the maturity, and it can feel like the return is already determined. But looking deeper into @TermMax’s lending design made me realize that there is another important part. what happens when liquidation does not go as planned?

According to TermMax’s documentation, if a loan remains unpaid or is only partially liquidated after the liquidation period, the protocol can move toward a physical delivery process. In that situation, the redemption pool may include both the underlying asset and the borrower’s collateral.

For FT holders, the eventual distribution can therefore represent a proportional share of the assets available in that redemption pool.

That is an interesting change in perspective.

A fixed rate can define the expected lending terms, but it does not mean every possible outcome during extreme market conditions will look identical. If liquidation cannot be completed because available market liquidity is insufficient, the final asset composition received by lenders may depend on what remains inside the redemption pool.

So, I wouldn't describe physical delivery as simply “removing” liquidation risk. Instead, I see it as another mechanism for handling an incomplete liquidation scenario.

The real question for lenders is how this mechanism performs when markets become highly volatile and liquidity becomes scarce.

Does physical delivery provide a more practical path for recovering value during difficult liquidations? Or does it simply transform liquidation risk from a conventional market-execution problem into an asset-composition and recovery-value question?

For me, that is one of the more interesting aspects of @TermMax . Understanding the fixed rate is only the beginning. Understanding what can happen when the market moves far outside normal conditions may be just as important.
