MidnightNetworkhas an interesting mechanism where the $NIGHT token is not directly traded for transaction fees.
Instead of holding NIGHT token, DUST is automatically generated. DUST is a type of renewable resource that is used to perform transactions on the network.
That is, when a user holds NIGHT tokens, his tokens keep producing DUST with time. Then when the user has to do a transaction, he spends DUST.
As long as the user has enough night tokens that are generating the required amount of Dust, he can make transactions.
The biggest benefit of this system is that transaction cost remains predictable. Normally fees in blockchain networks are directly affected by the market price of the token but this is not the case in Midnight.
Te operating cost depends on the DUST generation, not on the price of its token. Therefore, using the network becomes more stable and predictable for users and developers.

I used to think the AI risk was “wrong answers.”
Now I think it’s wrong answers that sound final.
