Advertisers Swap Customer Lists To Find Overlap 🎯

Two brands planning a joint campaign start by working out how many customers they share, and the standard way to do that is for one of them to send its list to the other, or to a middleman both agree to trust.

Whole businesses exist to be that middleman, and every version rests on the same assumption, which is that somebody has to hold both lists at once to compare them.

On $SOL the assumption bites harder, since anything a program compares has to be handed to it readable, so loyalty programs, ticketing and onchain memberships hit the same wall the moment two of them want to cooperate.

$ARX counts the overlap without collecting either list. Each brand’s customers go in as fragments across a cluster of nodes, no single node can rebuild anyone’s list, and the match still comes back correct.

The result settles on Solana as an ordinary public transaction, so both brands have a timestamped record of what was measured and neither walks away holding the other’s customers.

Confidential computation has been live on Mainnet Alpha since February 2, with fifteen teams building on it.

Marketing has spent a decade being told to stop passing customer data around without being given anything to replace it, and an overlap nobody has to hand over is that replacement.
