CZ just called it: "Banks Are Next"
This dropped right after Binance ate the biggest hack in crypto history. His take? Crypto exchanges are the most attacked, most hardened targets on earth. If they're getting rekt, banks don't stand a chance. AI is leveling up attackers faster than defenders can keep up.
But here's the uncomfortable truth no one wants to say out loud:
When a bank gets hacked, they just hit undo. Their servers, their ledger, their rules. Reverse the txs, restore balances, crisis over.
Blockchain doesn't work like that. Once it's written, it's permanent. No sneaky edits. But also no safety net.
And even crypto is sliding back toward centralized control. $USDC and $USDT can freeze your funds. They've already done it. Multiple times.
So if someone can freeze or reverse your money... how decentralized is this really?
The real question: Would you rather have immutability with no undo button, or centralized control with a freeze function?
Pick your poison.
