Asian tech stocks ripped higher today. Crypto didn't even blink.

South Korea's Kospi jumped 3.1% — and Bitcoin still slipped back under $80,000, trading near $79,700, with Ether down about 0.5% and the DeFi index off 1.8%. When a market ignores a rally like that, it's telling you something: right now, crypto isn't trading on vibes. It's trading on fear of what's coming next.

And what's coming next isn't one event. It's a whole week of them.

Yes, the Fed decides Wednesday at 2pm ET, with around a 90% chance priced for no change. But stop treating Wednesday as the finale. The Bank of Canada and New Zealand's central bank decide the same day, Thursday brings US Q3 GDP and September PCE inflation — the Fed's preferred gauge — plus the ECB, and Friday brings the Bank of Japan. Five decisions, plus the inflation print, settle this week.

Here's the twist nobody's talking about enough: regulation just delivered a genuine win — and the market yawned.

On Monday, the OCC gave Ripple final approval for Ripple National Trust Bank, a federally supervised trust bank that will manage the reserves behind its $2.5 billion RLUSD stablecoin and offer regulated digital-asset custody. That's crypto inside the banking system, not outside it. And XRP? It sat flat around $1.29-$1.31. The charter assigns XRP itself no direct role, and traders treated the headline exactly that way — as infrastructure news, not a price catalyst.

That's the lesson of this week: a bank charter doesn't move a market scared of macro. US spot Ether ETFs lost $88.58 million on Monday, led by BlackRock's ETHA shedding $104.71 million, partly offset by $16.13 million into Fidelity's FETH.

So here's what this really means, and what I'm watching.

For $BTC, $80,000 is the line in the sand. Lose it cleanly and the next conversation is about the mid-$70,000s. Reclaim it and hold it through Wednesday's statement, and the sellers who faded every rally this month start running out of excuses. Check $BTC on its own chart — the reclaim-or-reject moment at $80,000 is the whole trade this week.

For $ETH, $2,300 is the equivalent test. It has spent the month bleeding on ETF outflows, and it needs to prove that level is a floor, not a trapdoor, before anyone talks about a recovery. Watch $ETH here too — if it holds $2,300 while Bitcoin holds $80,000 into Thursday's PCE data, that's the first sign the fear trade is exhausted.

The contrarian take? Everyone is positioned for a boring Fed hold. But with PCE landing the morning after the Fed, plus the ECB and Bank of Japan still to come, "boring" is the least likely outcome. This market is coiled, not calm.

Regulation is building the plumbing. Macro is still setting the price. This week, don't trade the headline — trade the reaction to it.

Not financial advice. DYOR.
