FYI, Zcash has activated its NU7 upgrade on testnet.

The NU7 upgrade went live at block 4,465,026, and the headline change is pretty simple: $ZEC is targeting 25-second blocks instead of 75 seconds.

That means faster confirmations, but NU7 also changes how transaction fees are handled and adds new limits for shielded activity.

What I’m watching most is whether the upgrade holds up under real network conditions.

If testing goes well, developers are targeting November 5 for mainnet activation, with the final decision expected on October 20.

Zcash is basically giving the market a preview of what the next version of the network will look like.
