ONDО AND BLACKROCK ARE TAKING PORTFOLIOS ONCHAIN
Ondo Finance has launched Intelligent Portfolios, bringing investment strategies developed by BlackRock for Ondo into single, transferable onchain tokens.
The first three portfolios are now live, giving eligible non U.S. investors exposure to diversified strategies through one token instead of managing each underlying asset separately.
What makes this notable is the structure. Portfolio holdings, weights and rebalances can be tracked onchain, while the tokens can be transferred through wallets, exchanges and DeFi applications.
BlackRock isn’t managing these portfolios or the tokens, its role is providing nondiscretionary model portfolio strategies to Ondo.
Traditional portfolio strategies are moving onto blockchain rails. RWA tokenization is getting a lot more sophisticated.
