Circle just dropped its own L1. Not a testnet. Public mainnet. Live now.

$USDC issuer (74B supply) finally stopped renting other people's rails and built their own.

The thesis: gas in stables, not volatile tokens. You pay for a dollar transfer in dollars. No more pricing roulette based on what $ETH or $SOL did overnight.

Finality under 0.5 seconds. Deterministic, not probabilistic. Transaction settles the moment it confirms, not maybe settled after 12 blocks.

Validator set reads like a TradFi boardroom: BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, DTCC, ICE (owns NYSE), Standard Chartered, Galaxy, MoneyGram. 11 founding validators. 100+ institutions evaluating or already live (BNY, HSBC, State Street).

Permissioned for now. Circle committed to migrate to PoS by May 2028.

$ARC token: 740M sold at $0.30 to institutions in May (222M raise, 3B FDV). 10B initial supply. 60% ecosystem, 25% Circle, 15% reserves. No retail round. No confirmed airdrop. Token is for governance and future staking, NOT gas. Gas stays $USDC only.

What's live: Uniswap, Aerodrome for swaps. Aave, Morpho for lending. Tokenized MMFs coming (Circle's USYC, BlackRock's BUIDL). Circle Payments Network and StableFX (24hr FX settlement) native.

EVM compatible. Any Ethereum wallet works. Solidity deploys unchanged. Bridge $USDC via Circle's official transfer protocol. Keep small balance for gas. Don't trust random RPC links, fake pages already circulating.

TradFi is here. They're not asking permission anymore.
