Many beginners look only at the price of $BTC
But price alone doesn't tell you how big Bitcoin really is.
One important number to understand is Market Cap.
📌 Market Cap = Price × Circulating Supply
This helps you understand the overall size of a cryptocurrency compared with other assets.
For example, a coin being $1 doesn't automatically mean it's “cheap.” If it has a huge supply, its total market value can still be very large.
So before thinking:
“This coin is only $1. It can easily reach $100.”
Ask yourself:
👉 What is its current market cap? 👉 How many coins are in circulation? 👉 What market cap would it need to reach that price?
Understanding market cap can help you look beyond the price tag and make more informed decisions.
