I used to think better trading meant adding more things to the chart.

RSI.

MACD.

Moving averages.

Support.

Resistance.

Volume.

Then another indicator because maybe that one would finally tell me exactly what Bitcoin was going to do.

It didn't.

The problem wasn't the indicators.

It was that I was looking for certainty in a market that doesn't offer it.

These days, I prefer starting with the basics.

Where is price?

Where did buyers step in before?

Where did sellers take control?

Is volume increasing or fading?

And most importantly, how is price reacting when it reaches those areas?

You can learn a lot from that alone.

Indicators can help with confirmation, but I don't think they should replace actually reading the chart.

A simple chart that you understand is more useful than a complicated chart that looks impressive.

Still learning this myself.
