I sometimes think that it is very difficult to understand how good a road is when it is empty. There are few cars, no pressure, everyone is doing their own thing. But when a lot of cars suddenly come together on the same road, that is when you understand how ready the road space really is. This is what was coming to my mind a lot while looking at Dusk's Boreas upgrade. Boreas is Dusk's Rusk v1.7.0 network upgrade. At first glance, this may not seem like a change that is easily noticeable from the outside. But if you think about what the update is doing, it is quite important. The main focus here is on improving the node operating system and resource management. Through this, Dusk is trying to increase performance consistency among blockchain clients, as well as make transaction processing faster and the network more stable. But the part that interests me the most is somewhere else. @Dusk is not just preparing to handle today's network load. They are also trying to prepare the mainnet for heavy institutional data load. Because when regulated assets come on a large scale, many transactions can come at the same time. Then it will not only be necessary to have privacy or compliance, the entire network will also have to withstand that presure.
In the end, My question is very simple - the larger the @Dusk ecosystem becomes, will infrastructure upgrades like Boreas really be able to handle that additional pressure naturally?
I think the answer will be understood only when the real pressure comes on the network. Time will tell🤔
