This matters because positioning tells you about crowding and consensus. When everyone's been leaning one way for 12+ months, a reversal is worth noting.

Doesn't mean the market rips from here. Sometimes the crowd gets it right. But it does mean the setup has changed. Less fuel for a squeeze, more risk if sentiment sours quickly.

Markets don't move on fundamentals alone. They move on the gap between expectations and reality. And expectations just shifted.
