Aevo has quietly changed the $AEVO supply story.
A lot of established crypto tokens still have tokenomics that traders need to watch closely.
Look at $AAVE, $AVAX and $DYDX Each has its own economic model and approach to aligning token holders with protocol activity.
AEVO took its own route.
74M AEVO has already been burned, with no scheduled unlocks remaining.
Monthly buybacks use trading fees to buy AEVO and permanently remove those tokens.
There are also 1M AEVO weekly trader rewards, but they come from the existing fixed 1B supply. They are not new issuance.
That makes the mechanics interesting to me. Platform activity funds buybacks, while buybacks reduce the existing float.
A very different AEVO structure than many traders may still remember.
Not financial advice, just information post.
