USDT vs USDC vs FDUSD: Which One for P2P Off-Ramp?
Not all stablecoins trade the same on P2P. Here's how I think about picking one when cashing out to VND.
USDT — the default, and for good reason
Deepest liquidity by far, on Binance and everywhere else. On the VND pair specifically, USDT has the most active ads, tightest spreads, and fastest matching. If speed and order availability matter most, this is still the obvious choice.
USDC — worth it if you value transparency
Circle publishes monthly attestations on its reserves, which some traders prefer over USDT's disclosure cycle. On Binance P2P VND, USDC liquidity is real but noticeably thinner than USDT — expect fewer ads and sometimes wider spreads, especially for larger amounts.
FDUSD — Binance's own stablecoin, smaller pool
FDUSD gets strong support on Binance's own trading pairs and occasional zero-fee promos, but its overall market is a fraction of USDT's size. On P2P VND specifically, ad count and depth are the lowest of the three — fine for smaller trades, harder to move size quickly.
My rule of thumb: USDT for anything I need to move fast or in size. USDC if I'm holding for a while and reserve transparency matters more than speed. FDUSD only for smaller amounts or when a fee promo makes it worth the extra legwork.
Whichever coin, the same P2P safety habits still apply: check the merchant profile, verify the amount, release only after funds land.
