There’s a tiny symbol beside some Binance P2P nicknames that I used to scroll past without thinking much about it.
The Merchant Badge.
Turns out, Binance uses specific badges to identify different merchant statuses. Verified Merchants receive a verified badge beside their P2P nickname, while professional P2Pro merchants have their own PRO badge.
That doesn’t mean:
Badge = guaranteed safe trade.
But it does mean the icon is carrying information.
And when comparing two P2P offers, information is useful.
Price tells me the rate.
Completion history tells me past activity.
Real Name helps with identity checking.
And the badge gives another signal about what type of counterparty I’m looking at.
Maybe the P2P screen isn’t just a price list after all.
It’s a collection of small trust signals.
The interesting part is whether we actually read them before pressing Buy or Sell.
