I once had a Binance P2P order where the buyer kept asking when I would release the USDT.
The payment had arrived, but he kept referring to an amount different from the one shown on my active order. I checked the Order ID, buyer details and exact amount again. They didn't match.
I didn't try to solve that mismatch through the chat. I kept everything inside the order and opened an Appeal.
That case reminded me why Binance P2P's escrow, verified identity, order chat and Appeal process matter. They give you an actual transaction record when something doesn't line up.
The rule is simple: match the person, amount and payment to the active order before completing anything. If one doesn't match, stop and keep the evidence.
When the conversation and the order tell two different stories, trust the order record, not the conversation.
A few minutes of checking is nothing compared with trying to explain a mismatched transaction later.
