Y'know when your bank breaks up with you, but still asks you to be their plus one at the IPO party? Yeah, that's what's happening with Polymarket and JPMorgan. According to the Financial Times, JPMorgan cut ties with the prediction market provider in October (don't worry, Polymarket's not "Ghosted" yet, folks). Still, the two parties maintain a "close, active relationship" – aka JPMorgan really wants that sweet, sweet IPO money when (not if) Polymarket goes public. The only problem? Polymarket has moved its accounts to a mystery lender – a clever play to keep things cozy with JPMorgan while keeping their books private. Looks like Polymarket wants to keep its options open, just like a trader with a portfolio full of leveraged longs on a moonshot altcoin (shouts to all you $BTC HODLers still holding).
