**Small lesson: Wrong transfer note, almost couldn't verify the payment**

I was selling USDT on Binance P2P. The buyer transferred the money and confirmed payment. I checked my account and the correct amount had arrived — but the transfer note was completely blank, missing the required order code. Since the system can only match a transaction when the note matches the order code, even though the money was in my account, I couldn't be 100% sure it was actually from this buyer's order — worried it might just be a coincidental match with a different transaction.
I had to message the buyer asking for a screenshot of the transfer receipt to cross-check, which cost us nearly 10 extra minutes — all because of one missing line that should have been there from the start.
**Lessons learned:**
- Always include the correct transfer note/order code — don't leave it blank or write it carelessly
- Sellers should check the note carefully, not just the amount, before confirming
- One small missing detail can delay or complicate verifying a transaction
