The last time, I spent a little time looking back at how I choose P2P orders on Binance and I walked away with more thoughts than clarity. Strangely, I see that as a good sign.

I started with the expectation that simply looking at the price was enough - choose whoever sells cheaper. But then I started paying attention to the small numbers next to the seller’s name: trading history, completion rate, Merchant status. The more I looked, the more I realized that a price fifty dong cheaper could be hiding a risk that I hadn’t seen before. A seller with an 88% completion rate is completely different from someone who has completed thousands of orders with a 99% rate.

I also realized that I was looking at P2P through the lens of “choosing the cheapest price”.
I kept asking myself: “Who sells the cheapest?”
Maybe that is completely the wrong question.

P2P may need to be understood through its own principles: counterparty data, escrow, profile, chat, Appeal… rather than simply viewing it as an ordinary buying and selling transaction.

What I’m still struggling to understand is: when all the data is right in front of me, who do I actually want to trade with?
If Binance simply puts the data there and leaves the decision to me, what does that really mean for user risk?

Right now, I care less about the surface-level cheap price and more about three layers of advantage: someone who only looks at price has a price advantage; someone who knows how to read the data has an additional information advantage; someone who understands the entire process has an additional layer of risk management.

That is often where the most meaningful details are hidden.

My next question is: when choosing a P2P order, do people usually look at the price first or the counterparty’s profile first?

I have a feeling that this is where my current understanding will either stand - or completely change.
