Ethereum is changing its cryptographic direction. 👀

The Ethereum Foundation is moving away from Poseidon for L1 and looking toward established hashes like SHA-2 and BLAKE2s.

The interesting part? New ZK systems like Binius and Flock have made traditional hashes much more practical inside proofs.

So the thinking is shifting from “SNARK-friendly hashes” → “hash-friendly SNARKs.”

For me, this is less about abandoning Poseidon and more about Ethereum choosing battle-tested primitives as it prepares for a post-quantum future.
