WHAT TO DO WHEN A TRADE GETS STUCK

The more I look back at a recent P2P transaction, the more I feel there is one detail worth thinking about.

I once bought 1,250 USDT, worth around 32 million VND, from a merchant with a solid history. I transferred the full amount, but the order status barely changed. I waited for about 1 hour, but the seller still did not respond, and the USDT had not been released. There was not enough evidence to call it a scam. What surprised me was that such a simple transaction could be delayed simply because one side did not respond.

The USDT had not been released, while the VND had already left my account. I saw no clear sign of an unusual transaction, but the waiting time itself became a problem. If I had needed that USDT to maintain a Futures position, that one hour could easily have affected my trading decision. That is what stayed with me the most.

If P2P is meant to turn a transaction between two people into a controllable process, then when a transaction gets stuck, users also need to know what to do next. I need to recognize when to keep waiting and when to seek support.

Before this, I usually focused on the merchant, amount, payment details, and order status. After this, I started saving the payment time, Order ID, transaction status, and chat history. These details can become important evidence if I need to verify what happened or ask Support to review it.

This makes me see P2P differently: it requires two skills. One is verification to reduce risk before trading; the other is knowing how to handle problems when a transaction goes off plan. If this happens again, I will consider opening an Appeal so Binance Support can take over, while keeping all communication on Binance.
