The EVM is already familiar. Privacy is the harder problem.

That’s the part of Dusk I find interesting.
@Dusk_Foundation is building DuskEVM as an EVM-compatible environment, so developers can use familiar Solidity tools while accessing Dusk’s infrastructure.

But the more interesting layer is Hedger.
Hedger is designed for confidential EVM workflows using homomorphic encryption and zero-knowledge proofs. the goal is to keep sensitive financial information private while still allowing transactions to be verified and reviewed when necessary.

For regulated markets, that distinction matters.
Financial institutions don’t necessarily need everything hidden. They need privacy where it is required, transparency where it is useful, and controlled disclosure when regulation demands it.

That feels very different from simply putting traditional financial assets on a fully transparent blockchain.

For me, this is where Dusk starts to make sense: privacy isn’t being treated as an afterthought around the EVM. It is becoming part of the workflow.

If regulated finance is moving onchain, shouldn’t privacy and compliance be designed together from day one?
