Walrus’ progression from developer preview to whitepaper to funded mainnet is the textbook path from prototype to infrastructure. That sequence — plus institutional capital and an activated token economy — makes it plausible that Walrus could become the default decentralized blob layer for a set of applications (games, AI agents, media). But plausibility is not inevitability: real adoption will turn on measurable technical advantages, clear developer ergonomics, and decentralized operator growth.
