Altura said a planned over-the-counter purchase of USDT using fiat funds from its bank account has been blocked after the account was temporarily frozen by the bank. According to Odaily, the frozen amount was shown in a screenshot at about 16.446 million pounds, or $21.88 million.

Altura said it has contacted the bank, which asked it to wait for the review to finish and said it would request additional materials if needed. The company said the situation is outside its control and that it is waiting for further response from the bank.

Altura also said it will suspend its community chat function because of limited staff and will focus on handling the issue. It said future updates will be shared through its official X account, Telegram channel and Discord, and asked the community to avoid speculation before receiving official confirmation.
