Uniswap Labs announced the launch of Unichain, the Ethereum Layer-2 network. Unichain will leverage Optimism's OP Stack technology and become part of its Superchain ecosystem.

Unichain is expected to launch a testnet on October 10, and the team plans to introduce a community verification network in 2025 to increase the level of network decentralization by staking UNI.
