#Shibainu , the popular dog-themed cryptocurrency, is growing its loyal fan base every day. The number of people who own SHIB tokens has increased significantly in the last 24 hours.

SHIB community expands, Shibarium gets ready for launch
According to CryptEye, a website that tracks crypto data, the total number of SHIB holders has risen by almost 1,000 in one day. Now, there are 2,418,287 people who hold SHIB tokens.
This is not surprising, considering that SHIB is preparing to launch its own Layer 2 blockchain called Shibarium. Shibarium will allow faster and cheaper transactions for SHIB and other tokens. However, the first launch of Shibarium faced some technical difficulties due to the high demand from the users. The SHIB team had to pause the operations and work on improving the performance of Shibarium.
The SHIB team is collaborating with Unification Fund and Alchemy, two leading blockchain companies, to make Shibarium more efficient and reliable. Shytoshi Kusama, the head of SHIB developers, has been updating the users on the progress of Shibarium. He said that Shibarium is now running in private mode for a final test and will soon be open to the public.
Shibarium testnet achieves new milestone
While Shibarium mainnet is getting ready for its second launch, its testnet Puppynet is continuing to show impressive results. Puppynet is a platform where users can test the features of Shibarium before they go live. Puppynet has recorded more than 33 million transactions so far, showing the high utility of SHIB.
The daily number of transfers on Puppynet has been stable, around 175,000-173,000 per day, since Aug. 16, when the testnet resumed work after being paused for a few days before the first launch of Shibarium. Today, the price of SHIB has increased by more than 6% after dropping 30% since Aug. 12. At the time of writing, the meme coin is trading at $0.00000821.
