I’ve followed many crypto projects over the years and one thing I always notice is how differently teams treat their public testnets Some just launch them and move on Others actually listen With Babylon Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) I’ve been watching the second approach unfold in real time and it’s been encouraging to see The public testnet for native Bitcoin-backed borrowing with Aave v4 has been live for about two months. In that short period the community has already created more than 2,000 vaults. That level of hands-on testing has given the team clear, practical feedback instead of guesswork What stands out to me is how directly that feedback has shaped the product Community surveys and user reports led to a complete UI redesign, making the experience cleaner and easier to navigate. Wallet support expanded quickly because testers kept asking for better self-custody options now including hardware wallets like Ledger and Keystone, plus UniSat, Utila, and others. Even the vault creation process improved significantly dropping from around three hours to roughly 90 minutes after the team combined user feedback with a research breakthrough. I appreciate that this isn’t just polite listening. People are actually using the system creating vaults, borrowing, repaying, unlocking and reporting the friction points. The team is turning that input into real changes that make the product smoother and more aligned with what cautious Bitcoin holders care about: custody, simplicity, and reliability. In a space where many projects treat testnets as marketing milestones, watching Babylon use community testing to refine actual product decisions feels different. It shows that real user experience can still drive meaningful progress when a team is willing to listen and iterate. For anyone following this space, it’s a quiet reminder that the best improvements often come from people actually using the product, not just from internal plans @babylonlabs_io #baby $BABY

After spending months studying dozens of crypto projects from major Ethereum lending platforms to the many BTCFi experiments that rose and faded one clear pattern kept showing up. Bitcoin is the largest asset in crypto yet only around 1% or less of it actually participates in DeFi. The rest stays idle. I kept asking myself why, so I dug deeper to understand the real gap. What I found: Custody risk Transformation risk Extra security exposure Cultural mismatch Risk-reward imbalance The gap is that almost every option forces holders to choose between utility and the core principles that made them buy Bitcoin Then I looked closely at @babylonlabs_io and tried to see if their approach actually addresses this What stands out is how deliberately they built around that gap Their uniqueness shows up in a few clear ways: - Native BTC stays on Bitcoin: Coins never leave the Bitcoin blockchain - True self-custody: You keep full control of your keys the entire time - Segregated vaults: Each vault is isolated, with no pooling or rehypothecation - No wrapping or bridging: No synthetic tokens or third-party custodians are required - Real DeFi utility: The same native BTC can be used as collateral (starting with Aave) to borrow stablecoins, then unlocked after repayment My practical Example i wanna share I even tried it myself with a tiny amount of BTC on the testnet just to understand how it works My coins stayed locked on Bitcoin the whole time I could still use them as collateral, and I was able to unlock them afterward without ever handing them over to a third party. That simple experience made the difference clear. After studying so many projects that asked holders to compromise this is one of the few approaches that genuinely tries to close the gap rather than work around it.

What I found:

Custody risk

Transformation risk

Extra security exposure

Cultural mismatch

Risk-reward imbalance

The gap is that almost every option forces holders to choose between utility and the core principles that made them buy Bitcoin

Then I looked closely at @BabylonLabs_io and tried to see if their approach actually addresses this

What stands out is how deliberately they built around that gap

Their uniqueness shows up in a few clear ways:

- Native BTC stays on Bitcoin: Coins never leave the Bitcoin blockchain

- True self-custody: You keep full control of your keys the entire time

- Segregated vaults: Each vault is isolated, with no pooling or rehypothecation

- No wrapping or bridging: No synthetic tokens or third-party custodians are required

- Real DeFi utility: The same native BTC can be used as collateral (starting with Aave) to borrow stablecoins, then unlocked after repayment

My practical Example i wanna share I even tried it myself with a tiny amount of BTC on the testnet just to understand how it works

My coins stayed locked on Bitcoin the whole time I could still use them as collateral, and I was able to unlock them afterward without ever handing them over to a third party.

That simple experience made the difference clear.

After studying so many projects that asked holders to compromise this is one of the few approaches that genuinely tries to close the gap rather than work around it.

Whether it fully succeeds at scale is still unfolding but from everything I’ve seen, Babylon direction is one of the most aligned with the people who have been most resistant to DeFi

I see everyone connecting the dots on @babylonlabs_io and what it means for Bitcoin staking and honestly that part is already impressive But let me tell you something that really caught my attention The truly interesting piece is how Babylon Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) let your Bitcoin stay completely on Bitcoin while quietly powering real activity on Ethereum How it feels in everyday terms Your BTC never moves. It stays locked in its own secure vault on the Bitcoin blockchain, fully under your control Yet that same native BTC can now be used as solid collateral in Ethereum DeFi starting with borrowing stablecoins on Aave. You get the liquidity you need on Ethereum, but your actual Bitcoin never leaves home. When you’re ready, you repay and unlock it straight back to your wallet. It’s like using the value of your house to get a home equity loan without ever selling or moving out of the house. The Bitcoin stays Bitcoin. The security stays with Bitcoin. But now it gets to do useful work in Ethereum’s vibrant DeFi world. For long-term holders who never wanted to compromise custody, this feels different. It’s not forcing Bitcoin to become something else. It’s giving it a way to participate meaningfully while staying true to itself. That Ethereum connection with TBV is the part that has me thinking this could be bigger than just another staking narrative Bitcoin strength meeting Ethereum’s flexibility without the usual trade-offs Pretty cool if it plays out the way it looks. #baby $BABY

I’ve talked to so many long-term Bitcoin holders over the years. The story is almost always the same they love what Bitcoin stands for true ownership, independence, and that deep sense of security but they quietly wish it could do more in their financial life without forcing them to give up those very principles That’s the pain point Babylon Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) is built to solve For the longest time if you wanted your BTC to earn yield or provide liquidity in DeFi, you basically had one path send it away, wrap it, or trust a custodian. I see a lot of creators talking about Babylon's TVL But I think many are overlooking one of the biggest developments happening in the ecosystem Babylon Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) + Aave. I think this is the main thing where the conversation gets really interesting when i read about @babylonlabs_io For years using Bitcoin in DeFi usually meant making a compromise. I had to wrap my BTC bridge it to another chain, or trust a custodian to hold it. That always felt like giving up one of Bitcoin's biggest strengths self-custody. But now TBV changes that Instead of moving my Bitcoin away from its home I can lock native BTC in a dedicated vault on the Bitcoin network. My BTC stays on Bitcoin while cryptographic proofs allow Aave v4 to recognize it as collateral. That means I can borrow assets like USDC or USDT without selling my Bitcoin Once I repay the loan my BTC is unlocked back to my wallet through secure, pre-defined redemption paths. What I find even more interesting is how the system is designed. ✅ My BTC isn't wrapped or bridged. ✅ Every vault is isolated, so my collateral isn't pooled or rehypothecated. ✅ I keep control of my keys throughout the process. ✅ Aave's health factor and liquidation system help manage borrowing risk automatically. According to me this isn't just about borrowing against Bitcoin It's about giving native BTC real utility without compromising the ownership and security that define Bitcoin. Combined with Babylon Bitcoin Staking, it creates a future where BTC can secure networks and provide liquidity all while remaining native Bitcoin. I think this is the part of Babylon that deserves much more attention than TVL alone Now tell me What excites you most about Babylon vision? #baby $BABY

I think this is the main thing where the conversation gets really interesting when i read about @BabylonLabs_io

For years using Bitcoin in DeFi usually meant making a compromise. I had to wrap my BTC bridge it to another chain, or trust a custodian to hold it. That always felt like giving up one of Bitcoin's biggest strengths self-custody.

But now TBV changes that

Instead of moving my Bitcoin away from its home

I can lock native BTC in a dedicated vault on the Bitcoin network.

My BTC stays on Bitcoin while cryptographic proofs allow Aave v4 to recognize it as collateral.

That means I can borrow assets like USDC or USDT without selling my Bitcoin

Once I repay the loan my BTC is unlocked back to my wallet through secure, pre-defined redemption paths.

According to me this isn't just about borrowing against Bitcoin

It's about giving native BTC real utility without compromising the ownership and security that define Bitcoin.

Combined with Babylon Bitcoin Staking, it creates a future where BTC can secure networks and provide liquidity all while remaining native Bitcoin.

I think this is the part of Babylon that deserves much more attention than TVL alone

For the longest time I thought Bitcoin had just one purpose hold it and wait But I always wondered What's next for Bitcoin in DeFi? The challenge has always been the same. Because Most DeFi options ask Bitcoin holders to wrap their $BTC bridge to another chain or trust a third party with custody. That never felt like the Bitcoin I believed in. That's why I started to focus on Babylon It first introduced Bitcoin Staking allowing native BTC to help secure Proof-of-Stake networks while remaining on the Bitcoin network. I keep control of my Bitcoin instead of handing it over and today Babylon has over 56,000 BTC securing the protocol, worth more than $5.6 billion Now Babylon is taking another step with Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) Instead of wrapping Bitcoin TBV lets native BTC become collateral for DeFi applications like Aave v4 while it stays on Bitcoin. My BTC remains in a dedicated vault under my control, and cryptographic proofs verify everything behind the scenes. No bridges. No custodians. No rehypothecation. What I find most exciting is that this isn't just about borrowing against Bitcoin It's about finally making Bitcoin useful in DeFi without giving up the security and ownership that made it valuable in the first place. if you Considering Bitcoin represents over $1 trillion in value while less than 1% of it is actively used in DeFi the opportunity is enormous. If native BTC can unlock liquidity without compromising self-custody, it could completely reshape what BTCFi looks like. From my pov Babylon isn't trying to change Bitcoin It's showing that Bitcoin can do more while staying true to its core principles and that's the kind of innovation worth watching If you held 1 $BTC today what would you do with it? #baby $BABY @babylonlabs_io

I've been watching Bitcoin sit on the sidelines for too long. I've always believed it has trillion-dollar potential but using it in DeFi usually meant giving up something I value either my custody, my security, or my peace of mind. That's why Babylon got my inspiration. With Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) I can use my native BTC as collateral keep my Bitcoin in my own control, and borrow through Aave v4 without relying on bridges, wrappers, or centralized custodians. For me this is the first time Bitcoin liquidity feels truly practical without compromising what makes Bitcoin special. I'm excited to see how this changes the future of BTC in DeFi. @babylonlabs_io $BABY {spot}(BABYUSDT) #baby

The Fed just dropped the meeting minutes and one thing is clear they're no longer on the same page about rate hikes They kept rates unchanged at 3.50%–3.75% in June but the real story was behind the scenes. Some officials wanted to hike right away, and 9 out of 18 now expect at least one rate hike before the end of the year. Why? Inflation is still proving stubborn. Energy prices pushed CPI to 4.2%, and core inflation isn't cooling as quickly as expected. That's why the "higher for longer" camp is getting stronger under Chair Kevin Warsh. This isn't just another Fed update. It could impact mortgages, loans, stocks, and even the crypto market. What's next? Right now according to this situation July still looks like a hold but September is now a real coin flip. If the July 14 CPI report comes in hotter than expected, another rate hike could quickly move back onto the table. The Fed isn't moving with one opinion anymore. Things That Shocked Me About BNB Chain 👀💛I knew BNB Chain was big but I didn't expect the scale to be this massive Insane activity: Peaks of 31M transactions in a single day, while consistently processing millions of transactions daily with 4M+ average daily active users. That's real adoption not just hype. Crazy fast & affordable: Near-instant finality with sub-penny transaction fees. Whether it's DeFi, gaming, or payments, everything feels smooth. Massive real usage: Weekly trading volume has reached $10B–$50B+ with recent weeks crossing $41B+ and $51B+. DEX activity has even outperformed Ethereum and Solana on certain days while stablecoin transfers remain among the highest in the industry. Deflationary by design: BNB Auto-Burn mechanism continues reducing the total supply toward 100M, making the token's utility even more compelling. Built for the future: An EVM-compatible ecosystem powered by opBNB, Greenfield, and a roadmap targeting 20K+ TPS with sub-second finality in 2026. I learn about BNB Chain the more I realize it's quietly becoming one of the strongest infrastructures in crypto. Sometimes the numbers really do speak louder than the narratives 💛 #BNB $BNB {future}(BNBUSDT)

$TAC Flash Crash erased over 90% in minutes I'm avoiding trade in this coin Despite no confirmed security breach or network exploit $TAC collapsed from around $0.06 to nearly $0.004 wiping out most of its value before stabilizing near the lows. $TAC is building an EVM-compatible blockchain for the TON and Telegram ecosystem, but today's price action is a reminder that hype can disappear in minutes. #TAC

Stop buying $LAB 👀 Look at the chart I told you it would manipulate buyers first and that's exactly what happened. The dump came fast and previous all TPS hit and currently moving around 1.183. Right now most of the supply is centralized and controlled, which makes the price action risky. I'm not longing $LAB I'll only prefer a short after proper confirmation. So guys Don't follow hype. Follow liquidity, liquidation, and market behavior #LAB

Guys don't get trapped in $LAB again👀📉

Avoid longing $LAB just because it's looking cheap. LAB is still in a strong downtrend and catching a falling knife can be costly.

I'll prefer shorts on relief bounces with my small margin

Yesterday 955K LAB ($9.9M) was moved from Gate Deposit and Gate Cold Wallet to the Gate Hot Wallet which may increase selling pressure.
