I watched the same equation get checked twice today and almost skipped past why.
Reading a Dusk security writeup, a fee formula, gas limit times gas price equals max fee, gets enforced twice: once at mempool entry, again inside VM execution.
First read, figured that was redundancy. Belt and suspenders, nothing to dig into.
Didn't survive the next paragraph. Mempool-only enforcement wasn't enough, a malicious proposer isn't required to only include the mempool-honest version of a tx's fields.

$BEAT from 11 to 0.1649, and today's 36% jump needs to be read in that context.

USDT just got kicked off every regulated EU exchange — and the market didn't even blink.
Revolut confirmed the delisting for EU users after August 31. Coinbase, Kraken, OKX, Binance, Bybit all made the same move. Since July 1, zero MiCA-licensed platforms in the EEA offer $USDT pairs.
Why? Tether never applied for the license. They flat-out objected to MiCA's rule forcing 60% of reserves into EU bank deposits. That's a non-starter for how Tether runs the operation.
