BITGET USERS, DO NOT PANIC

Bitget has confirmed that approximately $387.5 million in assets were transferred to attacker controlled addresses during the September 24 security incident. The figure was revised upward from the initial $351.6 million estimate after additional assets on Zcash and TRON were identified. Bitget says the incident remains contained and no further unauthorized transfers are possible.

According to Bitget, the affected funds came from parts of its hot wallet infrastructure, while its cold wallets remained secure. The exchange has stated that its User Protection Fund is being used to cover the platform level financial impact, and that user account balances have not been affected.

Bitget has identified and remediated the underlying vulnerability and is working with Mandiant, SlowMist and other industry partners to trace and recover the affected assets. Bitget has also confirmed that some of the funds have already been frozen through cooperation with exchanges, blockchain projects and security teams.

Withdrawals are being restored in phases. BTC withdrawals are scheduled to resume on September 28, ETH on September 29, USDT on September 30, followed by other tokens, fiat and C2C services on October 2.

The situation is serious, but users should we rely on confirmed information rather than rumors circulating online. Bitget says the incident is contained, the vulnerability has been fixed, recovery efforts are underway, and the Protection Fund is covering the platform level loss.

Stay calm, follow official Bitget updates, and avoid making rushed decisions based on unverified claims.
