Bitcoin (BTC) was priced at US$86,603.13, trading 6.9 percent higher over the past 24 hours.

The asset absorbed a Federal Reserve interest rate hike, a Bank of Japan rate hike to a 31 year high, and the Senate's rejection of the Clarity Act without trading meaningfully below US$75,000. Easing macroeconomic pressures propelled the rally as Brent crude hit a half-month low and US 10 year Treasury yields fell to 4.93 percent. Short sellers have suffered massive losses as crypto short liquidations approach US$850 million over 24 hours.
