🚨🧨🔥🔥🔥🔥Why do some transactions still show “pending confirmation” for hours after being broadcast?
💥💥One number: when the mempool is full, nodes first clear out transactions with the lowest fee rates. Transactions with fees that are too low may also be pushed out of the mempool.
💥💥Block space is limited, and miners usually package transactions with higher fee rates first. So when the network is congested, transactions with lower fees have to wait longer in the queue.
💥💥💥Understanding this matters more than memorizing a bunch of jargon. Invest only what you can afford, and make sure you have a way out.
$BTC Transaction fees are generally quoted in satoshis per virtual byte (sat/vB). The higher the fee rate, the more likely miners are to select the transaction.
