Akash Network just made one of the bolder governance calls I've seen this year. Proposal 346 passed with 97.27% support and 69.37% turnout, according to The Defiant, so Akash will leave its own Cosmos chain and relaunch AKT as an SPL token on Solana. The swap is 1:1 with the same ticker and supply, and holders get a two year migration window. Nothing happens overnight though: two audits come first, and a separate cutover vote will decide when the compute marketplace moves and staking rewards end. Personally I like the logic. A decentralized GPU marketplace needs cheap, fast settlement and deep liquidity, and Solana offers both. The risk is execution, plus losing the staking yield some holders liked. $AKT sits around #135 on CoinMarketCap near $0.59 after a weak week for the whole market. I'll be watching the audit timeline and whether more Cosmos projects follow.
