【Should CEOs join early sales calls?】

A Reddit poster says a CEO’s “presence” doesn’t add value, and that joining an early call only creates pressure on the seller. They call it “helicopter parenting” and “micromanaging to the fullest.”

The poster allows that if the company is “tiny tiny,” fine. But with a decent-sized organization, they see “zero excuse” for it. One commenter replied, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” They said they wouldn’t tell their CEO no if the CEO asked to join a call. It can be annoying, but they’re not going to make themselves a target by doing something that dumb.
