Follow my profile — I research the real forces behind markets for retail traders who trade with real money and real risk.
CHEGG LOST ITS EDGE. IS TRADING NEXT?
Chegg was once valued at around $14.7 billion, with its stock near $115.
Today its market value is only around $78 million and the stock is below $1. AI did not simply compete with Chegg.
AI changed the value of what Chegg was selling.
Now ask yourself:
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AI CHANGES TRADING?
Algorithmic trading already dominates a large part of financial markets. The IMF estimates algorithms account for about 70% of U.S. equities trading.
Machines can process news, prices and huge amounts of data far faster than a human.
But that does not mean retail trading is finished.
It means the retail trader's edge has to change.
THE FUTURE MAY BELONG TO THE TRADER WHO UNDERSTANDS WHY.
Not just:
BUY
SELL
SIGNAL
INDICATOR
But:
WHY is price moving?
What is happening with liquidity?
What are central banks doing?
What is happening with oil, gold, BTC and geopolitics?
Where is the risk?
AI may make trading faster.
It may also make understanding more important than ever.
I don't claim to predict every candle.
I want to understand WHY.
Because if machines become better at signals,
your biggest advantage may be your ability to think.
MY WATCHLIST — OCTOBER 31, 2026
$BTC — around $77K — caution
$ETH — around $2.24K
$AAVE — showing strength
$TRX — under pressure
$GOLD — watching the macro picture
The question is not:
“Will AI replace retail traders?”
The better question is:
“Will the retail trader learn fast enough to survive the AI era?”
Where do you see the retail trader in 5 years?
$BTC $ETH $AAVE $GOLD
