Nasdaq-listed Next Technology Holding ($NXTT) has authorized the sale or use of roughly 5,833 $BTC as collateral, worth about $449 million at recent prices.

The decision follows the company’s review of the recent Binance security incident, broader exchange vulnerabilities and possible long-term risks from quantum computing.

NXTT confirmed that none of its Bitcoin is held on Binance, and no sale has been completed yet.

Most of the BTC came from a March 2025 acquisition of 5,000 BTC for about $158.1 million.

CEO Weihong Liu now has authority to decide the timing, size and structure of any transaction, including exchange sales, private block trades or Bitcoin-backed financing.
