Your Coding Agent Cannot Pay For Anything 🧰

Here is the gap nobody talks about. $FET and every other AI narrative of the last two years assumed agents would act in the world. Most of them still cannot buy a sandwich.

Ask a coding agent to build you something and it will. Ask it to deploy, pay for the deployment, claim the revenue and rebalance the treasury, and it stops at the edge of anything financial, because it has no wallet, no limits, no way to settle and no way to be stopped if it gets it wrong.

That edge is the whole opportunity, and it is an infrastructure problem rather than a model problem.

What closes it is a financial layer the agent you already use can call. Not a new agent to learn. A set of capabilities, defined as files, that plug into the tools in your terminal and give them the ability to hold value, spend within bounds and settle onchain. $ARB and the other execution environments supply the rails. The missing piece was always the part that lets software use them without a human clicking confirm.

The honest caveat is the obvious one. An agent that can spend is a different risk profile than an agent that can only write. Set the bounds before you plug anything in, not after.

But the agents got capable a while ago. It was the banking that lagged.
