@PythNetwork has launched live feeds for US government bond yields across seven terms, from 2 to 30 years. The feeds update every 200 milliseconds and are calculated from Pyth's Treasury price data, according to the project.
The release gives onchain applications a continuous view of Treasury yields. The US Treasury itself publishes its official curve once a day, built from market quotes taken at around 3:30pm New York time.
How the Feeds Compare With the Official Treasury Curve
The Treasury's official par yield curve is derived from indicative, bid-side price quotations for recently auctioned securities. According to the Treasury's methodology page, these quotes are obtained by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York at or near 3:30pm each trading day. The Treasury notes that its yield curve rates are usually available by 6:00pm Eastern Time.
That leaves a gap between the daily snapshot and what bond markets do during the rest of the session. Pyth's new feeds run from 2:30am to 5pm New York time on weekdays, which means they capture price moves around inflation data releases and Federal Reserve decisions that a single end-of-day figure would miss.
The feeds cover the 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 20 and 30-year maturities. Pyth's own announcement of Treasury data on Pyth Pro lists these as US2Y, US3Y, US5Y, US7Y, US10Y, US20Y and US30Y, and says the data is contributed by institutions active in Treasury markets.
Intended Uses in Tokenized Finance
Pyth ($PYTH) says the feeds can help value tokenized Treasury funds and set fixed rates on lending applications. Pyth's blog explains that yield feeds support rate curve construction and the pricing of lending and interest-rate products, while price feeds are used for collateral and margin valuation and for tokenized Treasury products onchain.
Short-term bills are due to follow. Crypto Economy reported that the short end of the curve, covering one month to one year, is under development.
Pyth has built up its fixed-income offering over the past year. The project launched Pyth Pro in September 2025 as a subscription service for institutional-grade market data, and in July 2026 the bond marketplace OpenYield joined the network as a data publisher, providing firm US Treasury pricing derived from its orderbook.
For developers of tokenized Treasuries, the practical benefit is having yields and prices from one provider in a format built for blockchains. Crypto Economy noted that, until now, yields used to price rate products and prices backing collateral often came from different providers, leaving developers to assemble the data themselves.
