Bitcoin Core's new security releases matter more to node operators than to the $BTC chart.
Two medium-severity flaws could exhaust memory. One allowed a connected malicious peer to trivially crash #Windows , #MacOS or #BSD nodes; another could grow memory by up to 2 MB per hour for each inbound peer and 5 MB per hour for each outbound peer. #linux is not affected by the first flaw.
Fixes are in versions 29.5, 30.4, 31.2 and 32.1. A separate low-severity undo-file issue remains on 32-bit systems and FAT32 storage, though exploitation is considered impractical.
The useful takeaway: check the operating system, storage format and Core version. This is an operator patch, not a #bitcoin network panic.
