Yes - confirmed today, Oct 26.$DOOD $BULLA $ARIA
Blast's regular withdrawal UI just expired. This was planned since their Oct 2 announcement.
*What happened:*
- On Oct 2, Blast said it's winding down its Ethereum L2 because "ongoing costs exceed revenue" and there's no credible path to sustainability. TVL collapsed from $2.2B at its June 2024 peak to ∼$32M.
- They set Oct 26 as the deadline for the simple web interface. After that, you have to withdraw manually via Ethereum contracts.
- As of today, ∼$40.41M is still pending withdrawal in the official Ethereum bridge contract, down 36% from ∼$63.5M on Oct 2.
*What changes for users:*
- *Before Oct 26:* One-click Withdraw tab on http://blast.io
- *After Oct 26:* You must:
1. Initiate withdrawal on Blast
2. Wait for state root to be submitted to Ethereum
3. Submit proof via OptimismPortal contract on L1
4. Finalize after 1-day challenge period
For USDB you also need to claim DAI separately. ETH/WETH needs unwrapping.
- Gas is higher and it's technical - Blast published guides for ETH, USDB, BLAST for EOA wallets and separate guides for Safe / smart-contract wallets.
- Coinbase, Upbit and Bithumb already halted BLAST trading. Bithumb withdrawals stay open until Nov 26.
If you still have funds there, don't use random "Blast rescue" sites - use only the official bridge contract: `0x...` OptimismPortal listed in Blast's docs. Want me to pull the official contract withdrawal guide for your asset (ETH/USDB/BLAST)?
